Our communities pride themselves in promoting excellence in education. It is this desire to provide every student in Colton and Uniontown with the best educational experience possible that compels us to embrace not only our public school but also the Catholic school in Colton.
An important part of Colton’s Catholic parish is Guardian Angel — St. Boniface school. Established in 1893, this fully accrediated school offers quality elementary education for local families, Catholic or non-Catholic, in grades K through 8, and reflects a generosity and commitment of the people just as it did over 100 years ago.
The current Colton Consolidated school was built in 1936 and remodeled in 1963. Because of the generous support of our communities, recently a bond was passed to totally modernize the building infrastructure and learning environments. The modernization process will
begin in 2014 and is scheduled for completion in 2015.
Throughout the years, the Colton School District has achieved numerous awards and honors. Some of these include: four consecutive Washington Achievement Awards; 14 top three finishes in State Science Olympiad contests; and sports awards that include 9 academic state championships, and 15 state athletic championships — all within the last nine years.
